This Position reports to:

Modernization Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities:

As a Production Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to lead a team within a Production unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Each day, you will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. You will also showcase your expertise by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.

This is an on-site position based in Mebane, NC.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Service Division in the Americas Region.

You will be mainly accountable for:

* Resource allocation Organizes and allocates resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets. Responds to resource issues as necessary. Leads capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned area.

* Production scheduling and plan Ensures that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels.

* Equipment and facilities Identifies and recommends technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.

* Production execution Ensures execution of volume, conforming product, and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines.

* Operations improvement Identifies deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities, and oversees implementation of actions to improve production performance.

* Critical line issues Manages the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams.

* People leadership and development Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.

* Achieving monthly production targets such as number of units produced or revenue plans

* Achieving 95% COTD on time delivery

Qualifications for the role:

* Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Associate's degree with 7+ years of experience, or HS Diploma and 10+ years experience leading production operations.

* You are highly skilled in Lean manufacturing and the electrical equipment market

* Ability to demonstrate your established skills in the manufacturing of electrical equipment such as switch gear and motor control for low voltage and medium voltage applications.

* Qualified in and adept in the use of the SAP ERP system for manufacturing applications.

* You are passionate about team leadership and achieving business objectives.

* You are at ease communicating in English for both leadership of people and discussion of relevant technical topics.
