How you will contribute and growAirgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases. As an Instrument Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure safe, reliable operation of air separation equipment and related instrumentation.
Job Description SummaryThe Instrument Maintenance Technician is responsible for the operation, control, and maintenance of equipment used in the air separation process. This includes careful care of plant mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical devices and equipment.
Responsibilities- Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation systems and perform calibrations in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions, local work instructions, and governing regulations.
- Install, maintain, adjust, and repair manual, pneumatic, electric, and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instruments.
- Perform preventative inspections on mechanical equipment and systems per manufacturer and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems per manufacturer, local work instructions, and governing regulations.
- Maintain quality control and quality assurance equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs.
- Maintain calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measuring equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders.
- Perform routine and non‑routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years experience maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems in a technical industrial environment.
Minimum two years of college, technical school, or military technical experience preferred.
Travel Requirements: Position travels 50 percent of the time.
