Job SummaryAs a Quality Inspector at Jabil, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will be responsible for performing inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process to identify defects and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
- Utilize various measurement tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct first article inspections and provide feedback to production teams on quality issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, quality logs, and defect reports.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality discrepancies and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics or medical device manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., AQL, SPC).
- Experience with various inspection tools and measurement equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to identify and document defects accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Twelve-hour shifts with lots on the floor inspecting product for quality defects.
