Position Details
Location:
Mebane, NC, USA
Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour
Shift: 2nd and 3rd shifts, flexible scheduling
Position Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at the assigned facility by monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and responding promptly and professionally to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, access points, and perimeter for suspicious activity.
- Enforce access control policies and verify identification of visitors and employees.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and irregularities such as property damage or theft.
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement, emergency personnel, and management as needed.
- Provide assistance and guidance to visitors and employees to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to observe, assess, and report security concerns accurately and professionally.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Prior security or law enforcement experience preferred but not required.
- Must comply with North Carolina state and local licensing requirements for security officers.
