Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking exceptional candidates for a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician in our Mebane, North Carolina facility.
Job Responsibilities- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment. Maintain all required preventative maintenance routines, schedules and documentation.
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions. Discuss machine operation variations with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems, solve custom production requirements or repair machines.
- Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Read and understand electrical prints.
- Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
- Repair, modify and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
- Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut, join, or fabricate metal parts.
- Fabricate and repair counter, benches, partitions and other wooden structures.
- Understand and troubleshoot input/outputs of PLC logic.
- Three to five years of experience in manufacturing maintenance with hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
- Strong electronics background.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to analyze problems and implement solutions.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.
