* Conduct and interpret data collection efforts, including operational, ridership, environmental, and spatial data to support transit and rail studies. (Data-driven analysis and planning is a consistent expectation in WSP's technical planning roles.) []

* Perform site investigations, feasibility assessments, and alternatives analyses for transit and rail corridors.

* Collaborate with engineers, planners, and stakeholders to integrate equity, sustainability, safety, and regulatory compliance into planning outcomes.

* Support public involvement activities, project workshops, stakeholder meetings, and client presentations.

* Assist in project management tasks, including schedule, budget tracking, QA/QC, and task coordination.

* Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies, regulations, industry standards, and best practices in transit and rail systems.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Urban Planning, or related discipline.

* 1-3 years of relevant experience in transportation planning, rail engineering, or transit system design.

* Strong capability in technical writing, data analysis, and development of planning documentation.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Engineering, Planning, or related field.

* Experience with federally, state-, or locally funded transit/rail projects.

* Familiarity with NEPA processes, environmental reviews, and regulatory compliance.

* Experience supporting business development or preparing proposal content.
