Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years of Civil Engineering or Land Development experience (additional YOE can be used in lieu of a degree)
• Experience managing land development projects through the entitlement and permitting process.
• Strong understanding of:
Water and sewer design Storm drain design Stormwater management Erosion & sediment control Site grading and drainage
• Civil 3D proficiency with the ability to troubleshoot and guide others through design workflows.
• Experience reviewing and coordinating engineering plan sets.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Strong client-facing communication and project coordination skills.
• Experience working with Pennsylvania municipalities and regulatory agencies.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Leadership experience managing small project teams.
Job Description
• Manage land development projects from feasibility and concept planning through entitlement, permitting, and construction.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, utility providers, and internal engineering teams.
• Oversee design efforts related to:
Water distribution systems Sanitary sewer systems Storm drain systems Stormwater management Erosion & sediment control Site grading and drainage
• Guide junior engineers and designers through technical design challenges and Civil 3D workflows.
• Review plans, calculations, and construction documents for quality and accuracy.
• Respond to agency review comments and coordinate permit approvals.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Support construction administration and assist with transitioning projects into construction.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership within the team.
