Position: GOVERNMENT INFO SPEC with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will research relevant legislations, regulations, and precedents to determine if requested documents may be released.
* You will be responsible for logging in all requests under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and maintaining records of all such requests.
* You will locate, collect and assemble documents for release.
* You will perform administrative duties associated with preparing correspondence including preparing a cover letter for signature, copying, setting up files, obtaining signatures, editing, and preparing for mailing.
* You will maintain records of contractors' payment history and recommend advance payments on those who fail to pay. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Examples of specialized experience may include the following:
1) Coordinating information requests and responding to inquiries;
2) Researching laws, regulations, and other directives to ensure accurate interpretation of the Freedom of Information Act (FIOA);
3) Evaluating and analyzing data and information prior to responding to inquiries or requests for information;

Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
