Release of Information Technician; Temporary

Position: Release of Information Technician (Temporary)
Select Medical -  - 4714 Gettysburg Road - Responsibilities:
Receives incoming requests for protected health information (via fax, phone, email) and screens request for compliance with federal/state regulation and policies governing the release of information.;
Research patient demographics/visits and retrieves patient information from electronic medical record (EMR) and paper-based systems to fulfill the requests accurately, efficiently, and timely.;
Prioritizes, fulfills and logs all requests for PHI.;
Invoices and processes payments for ROI services, adhering to policy and federal/state regulation.;
Communicates effectively both verbal and written with requestors (i.e. timely, courteous).
