Chiropractor

Lebanon VA Medical Center is seeking applications for a full time Chiropractor to provide exams, treatment, and management of non-operative musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. The Chiropractor is a licensed independent provider who works as part of the VA interdisciplinary teams including physical medicine and rehabilitation, primary care, pain management, and other relevant medical and surgical specialties, and other relevant associated health disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Chiropractor include but are not limited to:

* Patient examination/diagnosis/triage/management for a broad spectrum of non-operative musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, including highly complex cases.

* Providing treatment procedures including patient education/exercise/active care; manual procedures consistent with chiropractic care as commonly contained in the core curriculum of Council on Chiropractic Education-accredited chiropractic colleges; other evidence-based services consistent with individual training and licensure, and facility needs.

* Ensure practice-based learning and improvement, chiropractors are expected to be able to use scientific evidence and methods to investigate, evaluate, and improve patient care.

* Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills that enable them to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.

* Demonstrate behaviors that reflect a commitment to continuous professional development, ethical practice, and understanding and sensitivity to diversity, and a responsible attitude toward their patients, their profession.

* Demonstrate both an understanding of the contexts and systems in which health care is provided, and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve optimizing health care.

* Show effectiveness in teaching, monitor and coordinate educational activities, and comply with necessary trainee supervision.

* Performs additional duties as assigned
