We are hiring for a Functional Tester opportunity.

Location: Mechanicsburg, PA 17050

Position: 1

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Functional Tester with strong Health and Human Services (HHS) and Integrated Eligibility (IE) testing experience. The ideal candidate will possess hands on expertise testing public assistance programs, including SNAP and TANF, validating eligibility determinations, benefit issuance processes, batch operations, and system integrations. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep functional testing expertise, and experience working with Azure Dev Ops in large scale government environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret functional specifications, system requirements, business rules, and design documentation

Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive functional test cases and test scenarios

Perform integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing activities

Validate Integrated Eligibility business rules, eligibility determinations, and benefit calculations

Validate benefit issuance schedules, payment methods, outputs, and eligibility outcomes

Test batch processes including nightly, weekly, and monthly jobs, benefit issuance, file generation, reports, notices, and security roles

Conduct interface testing for inbound and outbound integrations involving eligibility data exchanges and downstream benefit systems

Validate flat file interfaces and SOAP UI based integrations

Utilize Azure Dev Ops for test case management, test execution, defect tracking, and requirement traceability

Perform backend validations and support data verification activities

Collaborate with business users, developers, analysts, and project stakeholders to ensure application quality

Work independently while effectively managing priorities and meeting project timelines

Required Skills:

Hands on experience testing Health and Human Services (HHS) systems

Strong Integrated Eligibility (IE) rules testing experience

Experience testing SNAP (Food Assistance) programs

Experience testing TANF (Cash Assistance) programs

Experience with benefit issuance and eligibility determinations

Ability to review and interpret functional specifications and system requirements

Experience across test planning, test execution, and test closure phases

Experience performing Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing

Experience testing batch processes and benefit issuance workflows

Experience testing interfaces, flat files, SOAP UI services, reports, notices, and security roles

Hands on experience with Azure Dev Ops for test management and defect tracking

Preferred Skills:

Ability to write and modify SQL queries

Experience performing database validations

Knowledge of backend testing and validation techniques

Experience comparing data between legacy and modernized systems

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Education Requirement:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
