Position: LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will identify and document life cycle logistics deficiencies impacting the supply chain early in the acquisition process so the deficiencies may be rectified to minimize future impacts.
* You will provide technical expertise for the integration of supply logistics technical functions and policy that comprise the inventory management, material movement management, and material coordination, control and policy development functions.
* You will work with the program manager to address inventory logistics requirements and related supply chain costs (i.e., material, storage, transportation, etc.) as early as possible in new acquisition programs and throughout the life cycle
* You will be responsible for targeting areas that warrant additional assessment based on risk assessments. Proactively orchestrates assessments of areas where risks are anticipated or known
* You will responsible for as the logistics management expert, coordinates and interfaces with DoD and Navy program management personnel for assigned programs to gather and maintain awareness of strategic program planning/execution Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the

Functional Area

and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Specialized experience for this position must include experience partnering or collaborating with personnel on ordnance requirements planning, inventory management, or other logistics functions/to arrange storage, handling, inventory, or movement of assets/to expedite material urgently needed from a stock point, manufacturer, or commercial vendor.

Subject matter expert utilizing supply systems with Ordnance Information System-Retail (OIS-R), Ordnance Information System-Wholesale (OIS-W) or other service equivalent programs to perform inventory management-related functions such as, but not limited to requisition processing, asset sourcing, causative research, transaction history, asset retrievals, review of assets in transit, review of assets due-in and backorder procedures. Experience representing an organization at the deck plate or employee level, middle management level, senior management within own organization or senior management outside own organization developing solutions to inventory management challenges affecting fleet units or storage facilities across the numbered fleets.
