Are you a dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist seeking a flexible opportunity to apply your expertise while supporting high-risk pregnancies? We are seeking experienced Locum Physicians to provide exceptional care at premier facilities in Mechanicsville, VA.
This role offers a unique chance to contribute to maternal and fetal health during a crucial recruitment period, ensuring patients receive top-tier care when they need it most.
In this role, you will deliver specialized maternal-fetal services across both inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting busy practices with high-risk pregnancies. Your expertise will help manage complex cases involving genetic screening, fetal abnormalities, and pregnancy complications, ensuring safe outcomes for mothers and babies.
Required Skills
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine or Obstetrics and Gynecology with subspecialty certification.
- Proven experience with amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, cerclage, and management of high-risk pregnancies.
- Proficiency in fetal surveillance techniques and EMR systems, particularly EPIC.
- Ability to manage complex cases involving genetic, fetal, and maternal co-morbidities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience supervising healthcare providers or collaborating with advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs).
- Additional training or certification in ultrasound or specialized fetal procedures.
- Familiarity with hospital trauma and neonatal level III care settings.
Education and Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maternal-fetal medicine setting.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensure.
- Certifiable in relevant procedures and ongoing certification updates as necessary.
- Able to start within approximately 90 days for credentialing.
- Willingness to travel for onsite coverage and participate in facility reimbursement programs covering travel, lodging, and related expenses.
