Are you a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist ready to make a meaningful impact in a high-acuity setting? We’re seeking a skilled  Locum MFM Physician  to provide comprehensive office and inpatient coverage in  Mechanicsville, Virginia  during a key recruitment period.

Practice Overview

Setting:  Office + Inpatient Coverage

Patient Volume:  Average 27 scheduled patients per day

Practice Model:  2-provider service (1 per site)

Support Team Includes:

RN Clinic Educator

Dedicated Sonographer

Genetic Counselor

Front Office Team

1 Rotating Nurse Practitioner

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Exam Rooms:  3

Onsite Ultrasound:  Yes (GE 10)

Onsite Lab:  No

EMR:  EPIC & View Point

Nursery Level:  III

Clinical Focus
This is a  95% high-risk pregnancy population , offering a robust and rewarding clinical experience. Required skill sets include:

Amniocentesis

Chorionic Villus Sampling

Cerclage (preferred)

Management of:

Pre-eclampsia

Multiple gestation

Growth restriction

Chromosomal & congenital abnormalities

Pre-term labor

Hypertension & thrombophilia

Genetic disorders & birth defects

High-risk maternal/fetal co-morbidities

Vaginal & Cesarean Birth

✅ Requirements

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine

MFM Fellowship

Active VA License

BLS Certification

AIUM Certification – Preferred

Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation
