About the Position
Seeking Experienced Locum Physician – Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) in Mechanicsville, VA

Required Skills:

Board-certified or eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine or OB/GYN with specialization in high-risk obstetrics

Proven proficiency in performing amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and managing high-risk pregnancies

Strong knowledge of prenatal diagnostics, fetal abnormalities, and maternal co-morbidities

Experience with EPIC or Viewpoint EMR systems

Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with cerclage procedures

Familiarity with ultrasound imaging techniques

Additional certifications in maternal-fetal medicine or fetal imaging

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

Completion of a residency in OB/GYN and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine

Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in high-risk obstetrics

Prior locum or interim staffing experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:

Active medical license in Virginia or able to obtain licensure

Certification in fetal monitoring and obstetric emergencies

Ability to travel to coverage sites as needed; reimbursement provided for travel-related expenses

Credentialing expected within approximately 90 days
