On-Call Substitute Teacher

Position information:

• This is an hourly position that is on demand with competitive pay.
• Substitutes will be scheduled for all shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am to 6:00 pm or 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
• This position reports to the center director.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Ability to travel and cover positions within the district (locations include Ashland, Chester, Colonial Heights, Mechanicsville, Midlothian, and Richmond).
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to students.
• Support children through learning, play, meals, and rest.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring classroom environment.
• Collaborate with your team to develop creative curriculum ideas.
• Communicate with families daily through mobile apps and personal updates.
• Cover lunch, breaks, and other duties as assigned.

• Believe that parents are partners in their child's education.

• CDA, ECE certificate, associate's or bachelor's degree in ECE or related field (or equivalent coursework).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related role for a licensed childcare or educational facility required.
• Active enrollment in an accredited program may be considered with experience.
• Ability to meet Virginia licensing standards and pass a background check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on program needs.

The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 - $18.00 per hour. The pay range listed here is what LLE Group in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
