Role
: VDOT is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to implement, configure, manage, and provide guidance on Azure cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing guidance on implementation of Azure resources, networking, and security policy.
• Maintaining and monitoring those resources.
• Overseeing backup & disaster recovery operations in mission‑critical enterprise environments.
• Planning & executing cloud migrations from on‑premises to the cloud.
• Supporting and troubleshooting production applications.
• Using security tools such as Tenable for vulnerability remediation.
• Creating monitoring dashboards and alerts with Azure Monitor, Workbooks, and Alerts.
• Crafting disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and prevent data loss.
• Utilizing networking knowledge across OSI layers and protocols.
• Possessing Microsoft and networking certifications (optional).

Location: 9120 Lockwood Blvd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116 (Hybrid).

Salary: $130K‑140K per year with benefits.
