Locations: Carter Machinery Company, authorized Caterpillar dealer for Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C.

• Manage a team of supplier quality engineers.
• Oversee the quality performance of suppliers.
• Handle supplier corrective action requests, audits, and customer communication.
• Plan and develop standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality.
• Engage in effective discussions and presentations with top management and other personnel.

• Minimum five years in quality engineering or a related role; supervisory experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
• Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and control procedures, concepts, and methodologies.
• Excellent driving record and ability to travel up to 50%.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and supervisory/leadership skills; ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
• Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of data relating to employment laws.
• Must be able to engage in effective and persuasive discussions on complex topics with top management and other personnel, and make presentations to company personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Physical requirements: Must regularly stand, walk, talk or hear; frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. May occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Requires close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
