Overview
The Client is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to implement, configure, manage, and provide guidance on cloud infrastructure in an Azure environment. We are looking for someone who is truly passionate about implementing and maintaining a secure and stable Azure environment—someone who enjoys taking on challenges, guiding others, and communicating with management and upper leadership.
Responsibilities- Implement, configure, manage, and provide guidance on resources, networking, and security in Microsoft Azure.
- Plan and execute migrations from on-premises environments to Azure.
- Support production applications and troubleshoot issues in mission-critical environments.
- Develop and monitor disaster recovery (DR) plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Establish and manage backup, security policies, and monitoring dashboards using tools such as Azure Monitor, Workbooks, and Alerts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to management and leadership on cloud infrastructure decisions.
- Work in an environment with multiple frameworks/technologies, including .NET, Java, SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and more.
- Experience implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and providing guidance on resources and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure: 8 years
- Experience planning and executing migrations from on-premises environments to Azure: 8 years
- Experience working in mission-critical enterprise environments and implementing backup & DR strategies: 8 years
- Experience implementing networking and security policies in Azure: 8 years
- Experience using Azure Monitor for alerting, observability, and dashboards: 8 years
- Experience with vulnerability remediation and security initiatives
- Experience guiding resource, networking, and security policy implementation in Azure
- Experience overseeing backup and disaster recovery operations in enterprise environments
- Experience planning and executing cloud migrations from on-premises to the cloud
- Strong networking knowledge, OSI model understanding, and network protocol expertise
- Comfortable working in an environment with multiple frameworks/technologies
