IT Project Manager, IT Consultant
We are seeking an experienced and ITIL-certified Configuration Manager to join our IT Service Management (ITSM) team. This role is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously enhancing the Configuration Management process, ensuring it aligns with ITIL best practices.
The Configuration Manager will maintain the accuracy, integrity, and traceability of Configuration Items (CIs) within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), supporting effective incident, change, problem, and asset management. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with technical teams and a deep understanding of Azure resource integration within a third‑party CMDB.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with Ivanti Neurons for ITSM, particularly around CI class modeling, discovery tooling, and Azure integrations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain Configuration Management policies and processes aligned with ITIL and Client standards.
- Own and manage the CMDB, ensuring CI data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Change Management, Incident Management, and Fin Ops teams for seamless service delivery.
- Define and enforce CI identification, control, and reporting standards.
- Work closely with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Application teams to gather and maintain CI information.
- Monitor, validate, and audit configuration data to ensure quality and reliability.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure Configuration Management maturity and CMDB health.
- Provide leadership, training, and best‑practice guidance to IT teams.
- Support IT governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
- ITIL Foundation certification required (Intermediate/Expert level preferred).
- Proven experience in Configuration Management within an ITIL‑aligned environment.
- Proven experience managing Azure resources within a CMDB.
- Strong knowledge of Ivanti Neurons for ITSM and its CMDB capabilities.
- Hands‑on experience with CI class modeling and discovery tools.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder management expertise.
- Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Experience with configuration automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with scripting languages (Power Shell, Python).
- Knowledge of audit/compliance frameworks.
