Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Mechanicsville, VA (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to lead the implementation, configuration, governance, and ongoing management of an enterprise Azure cloud environment. This role requires an experienced cloud engineer with deep Azure expertise who can design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure while providing technical leadership and guidance across IT teams.

• Design, implement, configure, and govern Azure infrastructure and cloud resources.
• Manage Azure networking, security policies, and enterprise cloud architecture.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises infrastructure to Azure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Workbooks, Alerts, and related observability tools.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Partner with architecture, security, development, and governance teams.
• Perform vulnerability remediation using security tools such as Tenable.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Mentor and cross-train engineering teams while providing technical leadership.
• Present technical recommendations, risks, and cloud strategies to management and executive leadership.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Strong experience designing and managing enterprise Azure infrastructure.
• Expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience implementing Azure networking, security, governance, and identity solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Azure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Experience planning and executing enterprise cloud migrations.
• Proficiency with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Workbooks, and Alerts.
• Experience supporting production cloud environments.
• Experience using Tenable or similar vulnerability management tools.
• Strong networking knowledge, including OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, and network troubleshooting.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Azure Security or other advanced Azure certifications.
• Network+, CCNA, or equivalent networking certification.
• Experience working in large enterprise cloud environments.

Skill Required / Desired Amountof Experience Expertise Rating Move Experience  implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and providing guidance on resources & infrastructure in Microsoft Azure Required 10 Years Experience with Terraform (highly-preferred) or at a minimum, other IaC methods (ARM, Bicep, etc.) Required 7 Years Experience planning and executing migrations from on-premises envrionments to Azure Required 10 Years Experience working in mission-critical enterprise environments and implementing backup & DR strategies Required 10 Years Experience implementing networking and security policies in Azure Required 10 Years Experience using Azure Monitor for alerting, observability, and dashboards Required 10 Years Experience with vulnerability remediation & working on security initiatives Required 10 Years
