Director of Nursing-Home Health

HCO Director Of Nursing

The HCO Director of Nursing is a critical part of the agency and must have experience working in the home health setting. We are looking for an individual that is versatile and able to wear a number of hats. This individual must have the following:

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree is preferred.
• Must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
• Must have experience working in a home care agency within a supervisory role.

The responsibilities of this individual include but are not limited to:

• Oversee home health program and operations.
• Oversee and complete clinical documentation.
• Ensure agency compliance with regulations.
• Experience with successfully managing home health program within state, federal and local guidelines.
• Knowledgeable on Medicaid/Medicare and VDH requirements for home health program.
• Facilitate assessments and plan of care for clients.
• Complete and obtain service authorization from Medicaid/Medicare.
• Facilitate home visits evaluating client needs on a consistent basis.
• Supervises home health staff to ensure appropriate delivery of service in relation to plan of care.
• Facilitates mandated training for home health staff at orientation and on a monthly basis.
• Conducts home health aide training.
