Job Overview

General merchandise associates greet customers on the salesfloor, offer them assistance and recommend merchandise based on the customer's wants and needs. They also ensure Hobbies & Home Improvement displays are maintained and in proper order throughout day. Paint mixing and fabric cutting may be required.

$14 – $27 per hour.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may be paid in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

• Greet customers on the sales floor and provide assistance.
• Recommend merchandise based on customer wants and needs.
• Maintain store displays, especially in the Hobbies & Home Improvement category, ensuring they are in proper order.
• Perform tasks such as paint mixing and fabric cutting when required.
