Quotation Specialist

Overview

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C., is hiring a Quotations Specialist. The Quotations Specialist is responsible for constructing quotes for all stages of sales opportunities, building deal packages based on customers' needs, and providing value-add recommendations/solutions. The individual in this role works directly with the Machine Sales team and other neighboring departments to prepare accurate pricing of sales inventory, customer deal packages, and further CRM assistance.

In addition, the Quotations Specialist is responsible for providing a positive customer experience for internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth product knowledge, competitive analysis, and customer program eligibility and sales history. Seeking candidates with a minimum two years  experience in an accounting, outside sales, or sales support role; previous experience in heavy construction equipment industry preferred.

• Construct quotes for all stages of sales opportunities.
• Build deal packages based on customers  needs.
• Provide value-add recommendations/solutions.
• Work with the Machine Sales team and other departments to prepare accurate pricing of sales inventory and customer deal packages, and provide CRM assistance.
• Provide a positive customer experience for internal and external customers by using product knowledge, competitive analysis, and evaluating customer program eligibility and sales history.

• General knowledge of product lines and pricing strategies.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications; CRM and accounting systems experience preferred.

Physical requirements must be met for the Quotations Specialist job, including the ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
