Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Associate – Mechanicsville, VA

Full Time

$15.50 / Hour

Mon – Fri: 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, while communicating with supervisors, staff, and or public contacts as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious conditions according to post instructions.
• Support traffic and visitor flow by providing directions, documenting observations, and following established protocols for incidents or assistance requests.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
