• Our client is seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Developer.
• The Senior Microsoft SQL Developer will support the modernization of an enterprise tolling transaction platform undergoing a partial rewrite using microservices and modularization.
• This role is a critical part of the Agile/Scrum project team and is responsible for developing optimizing and modernizing SQL components within a business-critical high-availability SQL Server environment running on Azure Virtual Machines IaaS.
• The developer will collaborate with solution architects cloud engineers API developers and testers to ensure high performance scalability and maintainability of the database platform reporting to the Development Manager.

• Develop and optimize T-SQL queries stored procedures functions and views to support new application capabilities.
• Perform advanced performance tuning indexing strategies and query optimization for a business-critical SQL environment.
• Modernize existing SQL components while supporting legacy SQL code and structures.
• Support new feature development aligned with the microservices-based application modernization approach.
• Collaborate with .NET Core/C# developers to ensure efficient data access patterns and API/database integrations.
• Participate in modernizing existing database models to support modular scalable architecture.
• Support and maintain high availability environments using Always On availability groups.
• Develop migration scripts ETL logic and integration solutions using SSIS and Databricks.
• Ensure PCI compliance requirements are followed and implement data retention rules as required.
• Contribute SQL-related changes through CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub workflows.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver assigned work within established sprint cycles.

• SQL Server development experience in enterprise environments.,

• Advanced T-SQL development skills including query tuning and performance optimization,

• Hands-on experience supporting high availability architectures using Always On availability groups,

• Experience building ETL solutions using SSIS and Databricks.,
