Business Intelligence Anlayst

Overview

Business Intelligence Analyst III is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytics needs and translating them into effective BI solutions. The analyst will analyze data and generate actionable insights to support decision-making, with a focus on data visualization and reporting. They will use BI tools to understand business requirements, translating them into actionable solutions and ensuring data initiatives align with business objectives.

The role includes generating scheduled or ad-hoc reports to provide insights into business performance and trends. Additionally, the analyst will provide expert advice on BI tools, strategies, and best practices, often collaborating with external clients, while focusing on designing and implementing data visualizations that make complex data easily understandable and actionable for business users.

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Visual Studio, SQL and more
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their reporting and analytics needs to provide data storytelling and visualization analytics.
• Data Visualization: create visual representations of data to communicate trends, patterns, and insights effectively. Works closely with product managers, owners, architects, developers to understand the data requirements.
• Work as part of a small, dynamic, development team to specify design, develop, and test using proven software development methodologies
• Develop data models and design data warehouse structures to support reporting and analytics
• Create ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse
• Create DAX calculations and measures to support data analysis
• Keep up to date with the latest Power BI features and trends
• Perform data analysis and develop visualizations and dashboards using Microsoft's Power BI
• Optimize performance of BI solutions by tuning queries, indexes, and server configurations
• Conduct testing and debugging of BI solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for BI solutions
