** PAH**). Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (
** PH-ILD**) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis (
** PF**).The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. Their only hope for a cure is an kidney transplant.  Unfortunately, the shortage of available kidneys causes patients to spend an average of 5 or more years on the waitlist, and many die before receiving surgery.

Scientist, Cell Biology is responsible for planning, conducting, and supporting experiments to develop, manufacture and evaluate cell based therapeutics for the treatment of end stage renal disease.
* Derive autologous iPSC from patient samples, applying advanced cell biology techniques and independent judgement to optimize protocols and ensure reproducibility
* Design, plan, and execute experiments that support research activities , project goals, and platform development
* Advance the maturation of diverse cellular phenotypes to full function
* Differentiate renal and pancreatic lineages, designing and executing sophisticated experiments to achieve targeted cell phenotypes and functional maturity
* Contribute to preparation of FDA filings of extracorporeal and implantable devices
* Serve as a key contributor to the discovery and development of new technologies in tissue/ organ engineering
* Manage work package progress, ensuring continuity of operations, appropriate allocation of staff and resources, interpretation of results, adjustment of goals, timelines, and experimental plans
* May manage direct reports to include responsibilities for goal setting, performance reviews/management, coaching, mentoring, and career development
* Perform all other duties as assigned
