Assistant Teacher
Under the supervision of a lead teacher the assistant teacher is responsible for accepting and following the philosophy of the center and programming techniques of the classroom teacher. Responsible for assisting in daily planning and execution of all classroom and outdoor activities. Responsible for the class for short periods of time as necessary and assists in emergency situations. Works with other staff to create a safe learning enviorment for students including maintence of supplies, equipment toys, activity tables, food areas including carpets.
Communicates with teacher in relating each child's day at school with parent on an informal or formal basis as well as keeping teacher informed of updates from parents.
Requirements:
Must work under the supervision of a lead teacher and be a contributing member of the classroom team. Evidence of sufficient maturity and judgment to perform expected duties. CPR and First Aid qualified.
