Position: Content Developer for Professional Development in Business Communication

University College (UC) is committed to expanding access to Tufts and transforming the lives of diverse learners through innovative educational opportunities, career acceleration, and community connections. UC’s programmatic areas include Tufts Professional and Continuing Education Programs, Tufts Pre‑College Programs, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and the Center for Professional and Workforce Impact.

The Center for Professional and Workforce Impact focuses on social mobility by producing research and cross‑school educational programming that promotes career readiness for learners at all stages.

The Center is developing short, noncredit workshops and courses targeted at working professionals in life sciences, healthcare and nutrition, and societal impact sectors.

These workshops are modular. Level 1 modules are 5–10 hours, on‑demand, asynchronous, and highly transferable across jobs and industries.

Position Summary

The Center seeks multiple content developers to design and develop Level 1 modules on the following topics:

  • Effective Communication of Science Information
  • Writing for Business

Successful candidates may have future opportunities for synchronous and live learner engagement.

Required Qualifications
  • Extensive expertise in the topic area.
  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years of relevant work experience in the proposed subject.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior online teaching or adult education/training experience.
