Plumbing Instructor
Medford High School is seeking a skilled Plumbing Instructor to provide hands-on training aligned to Massachusetts Chapter 74 standards. The program prepares students for careers in plumbing and gas fitting, including pathways toward licensure. Responsibilities include delivering technical instruction in plumbing systems, pipe fitting, code, and safety; preparing students for industry credentials and apprenticeship pathways; supervising shop/lab activities with a focus on safety and proper tool use;
maintaining equipment, inventory, and compliant learning environments; collaborating with industry partners and Program Advisory Committee; and integrating academic standards into technical instruction. Qualifications include a Massachusetts DESE Vocational Technical Teacher License in Plumbing (912), or eligibility to obtain licensure; a current Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber License; minimum required years of industry experience per DESE guidelines; strong communication and classroom management skills;
and the ability to meet Chapter 74 program requirements.
