Job DescriptionPosition Summary
Medford High School is seeking a skilled Plumbing Instructor to provide hands‑on training aligned to Massachusetts Chapter 74 standards. The program prepares students for careers in plumbing and gas fitting, including pathways toward licensure.
Responsibilities- Deliver technical instruction in plumbing systems, pipe fitting, code, and safety.
- Prepare students for industry credentials and apprenticeship pathways.
- Supervise shop/lab activities with a focus on safety and proper tool use.
- Maintain equipment, inventory, and compliant learning environments.
- Collaborate with industry partners and Program Advisory Committee.
- Integrate academic standards into technical instruction.
- Massachusetts DESE Vocational Technical Teacher License in Plumbing (9–12), or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Current Massachusetts Journeyman or Master Plumber License required.
- Minimum required years of industry experience per DESE guidelines.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to meet Chapter 74 program requirements.
