Special Education ACCESS Program Teacher - Long Term Substitute
Medford High School
Teach and case manage a subseparate classroom of students requiring direct, individualized and small group instruction based on IEP goals and objectives within a highly supported setting. Curriculum is aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks at the appropriate access/entry skill levels. Methodology includes strong multi‑disciplinary collaboration among instructional staff, related service providers, and parents. Students participate in standards‑based instruction while addressing social, motor, and communication skills.
Opportunities for facilitated inclusion components. The teacher supervises paraprofessional staff and service providers in a team‑oriented educational setting, with a strong focus on transition and preparation for post‑secondary success.
Degree Preferred:
Masters
Massachusetts Severe Disabilities license preferred
Experience Preferred: 3 years
Prior teaching experience for appropriate grade level (9‑12) or discipline preferred.
Experience with Alt MCAS a plus
$160 Long Term Substitute (w/o license)
$180 Long Term Substitute (with license)
