, to own the testing lifecycle from strategy to execution, champion automation, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software.
At FRT, QA is a strategic pillar, not just a step, in the SDLC. Your responsibilities as a QA Lead will include:
Define and lead QA strategy across functional, integration, regression, and automation testing- Understand the product at an architectural level to guide the team in what to test and how to test it
- Review requirements and create test plan/strategy and scripts
- Ensure product quality through appropriate level of testing and defects resolution
- Lead defect triage, reporting, and resolution
- Act as gatekeeper in product release process
- Lead functional testing automation
- Ensure security testing using tools
- Lead QA Team, mentoring and fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Product and Development teams to ensure that software designs and implementations maximize the opportunity to test effectively and efficiently, and automate testing as much as possible
- Drive QA excellence by continuously striving to improve QA processes and use of tools
- Define and monitor QA metrics (e.g., test coverage, test execution rates) to drive continuous improvement.
- Set the example as a hands-on contributor
- 10+ years in software testing, 2+ years in lead role
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or another technical major, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in a major automation testing tool (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium…)
- Strong experience with SQL
- Comfortability with Git and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, CircleCI…)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, …)
- Experience with security testing tools such as Burp and OWASP Zap is a plus
- Hands on experience with API testing (e.g. Postman, etc)
- Deep knowledge in test management and reporting tools
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- An intellectually curious personality and a demonstrated commitment to continuous growth/learning

Compensation: base salary is experience dependent and can range from $160,000-$180,000 a year (based in MA). FRT also offers an annual bonus.
