Plasma Center Nurse - LPN

Job Description

We are recruiting a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. The role requires commitment to customer service, quality, and compliance with plasma collection regulations.

• Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, donor transport to emergency care, and development of physician standing orders.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation as required by occupational health.
• Serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.

• High‑school diploma or recognized nursing program graduate with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy (in the state of licensure).
• Completed FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly Wage: $28.85 – $39.66

The actual hourly wage will be based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
