We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established Cardiology team. This position is based at 137 Main Street in Medford, MA and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is 40 hours per week, including 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of dedicated administrative time. There is no weekend or on-call responsibilities for this hire.
The NP will care for patients across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions providing comprehensive outpatient cardiology care, including the evaluation and management of new, low acuity consults as well as ongoing follow-up care for established patients. The NP will also be responsible for interpreting and reviewing results of diagnostic testing for patients. This is an opportunity to work alongside a team of seasoned and well-established cardiologists in a collaborative and collegial environment, with strong clinical support and the ability to build meaningful patient relationships in an outpatient-focused setting.
Job SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations.

Essential Functions- Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
- Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
- Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
- Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
- Orders medications and writes prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
