• Provide prompt, courteous service to all customers over the telephone, in the store, or in the dealer’s shop.
• Look up parts applications in catalogs or the POS system.
• Process orders for customers with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy.
• Assist and advise customers on how to best meet their needs, often dealing with highly technical questions and problems.
• Exhibit thorough knowledge of products, performance standards, warranties, sales programs, and operating policies.
• Serve as a resource for advice to other store personnel.
• Implement appropriate sales practices such as greeting customers, demonstrating product knowledge, and quickly understanding customer needs.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring the right part and resolving customer issues.
• Maintain a professional attitude, conduct, and appearance.
• Develop POS computer skills by learning and applying catalog and system use, practicing asset security/loss prevention controls, and understanding store pricing methods.
• Support sales functions by processing stock orders, reporting overages/shortages/damage, and ensuring good store and display appearance.
• Participate in required and needed training.
• Perform all other associated tasks as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
• Functional literacy in part numbers and line codes for proper selection and delivery.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
• ASE Parts Specialist (automotive) certification.
• Working knowledge of the local city part of service and ability to operate a manual‑transmission vehicle.
• Availability to work retail hours at any store location as assigned by management.

• Capability to operate TAMS POS system and cataloging.
• Experience using the adding machine and processing cash, check, and credit card transactions.
• Visual recognition of letters and numbers with accurate sequencing.
• Ability to work on feet for an entire assigned shift.
• Capacity to lift and move parts and boxes up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to bend or stoop to floor‑level shelves and reach upper shelves (ten feet) with ladder or stool when necessary.
• Experience moving heavy equipment such as engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy items with dedicated moving aids.

This position offers a starting hourly rate of $22.25. Many hourly positions have pay progression with set starting rates, allowing employees to reach the top end of this range within 12 months of hire. For other positions, the starting rate will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
