Responsibilities- Making sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics
- Conducting preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires—and completing vehicle component lubrication and replacement, basic electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles
- Partnering with your manager to acquire new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
- Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Pay: $24.00/Hour
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to solve problems and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Basic computer skills
- Compliance with Penske management’s specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including correct tool selection, PPE, machine guarding, and best safety practices
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function
- Regulated by the DOT—requires a current driver qualification file, annual MVR check, DOT Physical, Safety Performance History records from the last 3 years, and for CDL holders a DOT Drug Screening within 30 days of start and FMCSA Clearinghouse review
- Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete Penske employment application, background screening (criminal checks, past employment and education), drug screen and physical as required by DOT, and potential near‑geography travel for training
- Regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive—requires constant alertness and safety responsibility for self and others
- Perform frequent movements, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during scheduled work time
- Use hands regularly to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate required tools or controls
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Work in all weather conditions
- Navigate workplace safely with frequent movement of large trucks in proximity
- Regularly lift or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally up to 100lbs/45kg; push or pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs as required
