The Medford Township Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Long-Term Substitute Language Arts Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that fosters strong reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills in sixth-grade learners. Responsibilities include planning and implementing daily lessons, assessing student progress, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
The Haines Sixth Grade Center is proud of its supportive staff, high expectations, and commitment to student growth. We are looking for an educator who builds meaningful relationships with students, communicates effectively with families, and contributes positively to our school community.
This position is a long-term substitute position hired through our hiring partner, ESS, and does not accrue seniority or tenure. This position begins March 30, 2026 and concludes on June 24, 2026.

Other Requirements:
The successful candidate must hold a valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE), whether it be CE, CEAS or Standard.
* Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization Grades 5-8 - English Language Arts (1106), or
* Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization Grades 5-8 - English (1410), or
* Elementary School Teacher (1000) with prior English Lanuage Arts experience
