Location: Medford Township
Overview
The Medford Township Public Schools are seeking a passionate and creative Elementary Art Teacher to fill in as a Long Term Substitute. The ideal candidate will foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment where students can explore a variety of media, develop foundational art skills, and build confidence in their creativity. Through thoughtful instruction and a love of the arts, this educator will help students connect visual arts to their own experiences while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive school community.
Responsibilities- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student creativity.
- Provide instruction across a variety of art media and techniques.
- Support the development of foundational art skills and creative problem-solving.
- Encourage students to connect visual arts to personal experiences and community context.
- Collaborate with school staff to contribute to a vibrant school community.
- Art Teacher certification (NJDOE #1200).
- Experience teaching elementary art preferred.
- Ability to create engaging, student-centered lessons and assess progress.
This position is a long-term substitute position hired through our hiring partner, ESS, and does not accrue seniority or tenure.
