Mental Health Professional - Lake Stockwell

Overview

The Mental Health Professional is responsible for overseeing all aspects of mental health and behavioral management of campers and staff.

• Assist campers with mental health and behavioral issues that arise as well as check in and follow up with campers.
• Lead mental health professional development for staff.
• Assist staff with burnt out.
• Create new mental health initiates for campers and staff.
• Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to: camper check-in and check-out; meal times; activities and extended am and extended pm duties as assigned.
• Attend and participate in two weeks of Leadership Staff Training and General Staff Training.

• The incumbent must be 21 years of age or older
• Prior experience working in mental health, social work or related field.
• Ability to problem solve, observational skills, deescalate crisis situations and be resilient.
• Show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have excellent communication skills with campers, parents and staff whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
• Bachelor’s Degree or related field is preferred (or working toward degree).
