Pay
: $70,000-$90,000/year (dependent on experience)

- 3+ years of experience in estimating, preferably within power systems, electrical construction, generator systems, or a related industrial environment
- Experience working with vendor proposal requests and bid evaluation processes
- Familiarity with approved manufacturer/vendor programs and procurement processes
- Strong cost analysis skills to ensure competitive and profitable pricing
- Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy and completeness
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Professional customer-focused mindset with a commitment to optimizing engagement and winning business
- Gather and review all project documents
- Identify system components and requirements
- Review logistical and site-specific conditions/factors
- Confirm/identify approved manufacturers and vendors
- Identify scope gaps that may exist through requirements relative to: code and compliance; specific customer needs; testing and training
- Compile BOM (Bill of Materials) from the takeoff
- Identify vendors from whom to request proposals
- Utilize quoting software to create quotes for generators and associated components
- Request quotes from qualified/approved vendors – including internal service department for labor and equipment for testing purposes
- Use H.O. Penn quote template, create proposal using project specific requirements
- Clearly articulate any deviations from specification
- Articulate terms and conditions for H.O. Penn
- Review proposal with OSR (Office for Standards in Reporting) prior to submission
- 3+ years of experience in estimating, preferably within power systems, electrical construction, generator systems, or a related industrial environment
- Experience working with vendor proposal requests and bid evaluation processes
- Familiarity with approved manufacturer/vendor programs and procurement processes
- Strong cost analysis skills to ensure competitive and profitable pricing
- Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy and completeness
- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Professional customer-focused mindset with a commitment to optimizing engagement and winning business
- Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Hand coordination (typing and writing)
- Occasional forward bending and reaching
- Occasional walking and climbing stairs
- Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
