Job Details Responsibilities- Understanding of pulmonary function laboratory operations.
- Demonstrates proficiency in patient assessment, clinical aerosol medication delivery and emergency management procedures, related to performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
- Calibration, operation and performance of diagnostic pulmonary function testing equipment.
- Basic computer skills, Epic EMR for documentation and scanning reports.
- Knowledge of accepted standards, policies, procedures, staff responsibilities and instrumentation related to provision of diagnostic pulmonary function testing.
- Performs and documentation of 6 minute walk tests.
- Patient/ Family Education as related to PFT testing, medication delivery systems, devices and Disease state management.
* Office practices in accordance with CDC guidelines for infection control and maintenance.
Requirements and Qualifications- Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy from a Respiratory Therapy education program accredited by CoARC required.
- New York State Respiratory Therapy Technician or Respiratory Therapist license required. Minimum of 3 years' experience required.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
- Basic computer skills.
- 3+ years of experience preferred.
USD $53.46 - USD $61.45 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
