Concern Housing is seeking a Financial Case Management Services Supervisor to oversee Representative Payees serving residents in Concern’s Housing programs. This role ensures compliance with SSA and New York State regulations, timely rent payments, accurate financial management, and high‑quality support to residents who rely on payee services.
Responsibilities- Supervise and support two Representative Payees, including training, coaching, performance management, and workload oversight.
- Ensure accurate management of resident benefit funds and timely payment of rent and essential expenses.
- Review financial records, ledgers, bank reconciliations, and SSA reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Social Security Administration and other oversight agencies. Participate in external audits, as needed.
- Monitor internal controls, fraud prevention measures, and safeguarding of tenant funds.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for payee services.
- Create/update Representative Payee forms annually and as needed.
- Collaborate with housing and case management staff to support resident stability and financial well‑being.
- Address escalated resident concerns related to finances and benefits.
- Ensure staff report changes in resident circumstances to SSA promptly.
- Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and SSA site reviews.
- Track performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership as needed.
- Other tasks, as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
- Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, accounting, business administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in representative payee services, financial case management, or a related role.
- Must have at least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience with a strong knowledge of SSA regulations and New York State public benefit systems.
- Must possess the ability to pass background checks and meet SSA Representative Payee eligibility requirements.
- Experience in nonprofit housing, residential services, or supportive housing programs a plus along with a familiarity with NYS Medicaid, SNAP, Section 8, and related housing subsidies.
- Bilingual skills a plus.

Salary: $75,000/yr – $80,000/yr
