RN Pediatric PACU – Syracuse, NY (#25292)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Employment Type: Full-time
Hourly Rate: $68/hr
Position OverviewWe are currently seeking an RN Pediatric PACU to fill an opening at an Acute Care/Academic Medical Center located in Syracuse, New York. The ideal candidate will provide specialized post-operative care to pediatric patients, ensuring safe recovery and optimal outcomes in a dynamic academic medical center environment.

- Work Schedule: Full-time, Day/Evening Shift. 8 shifts of 10 hours every 2 weeks (Day shift: 07:00-19:30, Night shift: 11:00-23:30). Includes some weekends.

- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure: Current New York State RN license.
- Certification:
- BLS certification (current or able to recertify);
Must not have had a professional license or certification suspended or investigated - Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim.
- BLS certification (current or able to recertify);
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level as Hospital.
- Travelers will only be considered if they are experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers.
- Technical
Skills:
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience preferred. - Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients, monitor vital signs and recovery progress, administer medications, collaborate with surgical teams, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate documentation.
