The Role:

As the Inspection Manager, you will oversee all in‑process and final inspection operations, ensuring strict compliance with AS9100 standards and customer blueprints. You will lead a team of QC inspectors, manage First Article Inspections (FAIs), and serve as the primary floor resource for GD&T and CMM programming verification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor our team of quality inspectors across all shifts.
  • Compliance & QMS: Maintain and enforce our ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Inspection Oversight: Personally step onto the floor to perform or assist with First Article Inspections (FAIs) and complex final inspections.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, oversee non‑conforming materials, and drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Equipment Mastery: Oversee the calibration of precision measurement tools and CMM programming/operation.
What It Takes to Win:
  • Experience: 5+ years of quality control management or supervisory experience in a precision CNC machine shop environment.
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced blueprint reading, deep understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and proficiency in operating/programming CMM equipment.
  • Certifications: Working knowledge of AS9100 Rev. D requirements and standards.
  • Compliance Mindset: Experience handling customer source inspections, FAIR documentation, and supplier quality requirements.
