Inspector

Location:
Mountainhome, PA

Pay Range: $29-34

What You Will Do:
  • Use various measurement tools (ex. micrometers, calipers, Optical Comparator, dial indicators, etc.) and other equipment to verify product dimensions with precision and validate quality compliance against appropriate specifications.
  • Perform inspection against blueprint and/or job instruction sheets to validate compliance of as-received, in-process, and completed/final components and assemblies.
  • Perform first article inspection in accordance with AS9102.
  • Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of gages and inspection equipment.
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed records.
  • Identify and report defects, deviations, variances and non-conformities in the appropriate system(s).
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Perform simple mathematical computations to determine pass/fail results based on allowed tolerance.
  • Perform administrative tasks associated with file management and material control.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
  • Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or BA/BS degree in a related field of study with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • U.S. Person.
  • Ability to pass visual acuity and color vision tests.
  • Proficiency with blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic shop math.
