Controller Position
Kimberly Casey with Robert Half is looking for a Controller to lead the accounting and financial management activities for our client's manufacturing operation in Medford, Oregon. This on-site position plays a central role in delivering reliable financial reporting, strengthening cost accounting practices, and translating financial data into actionable guidance for business leaders. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing finance experience, a hands-on approach to controllership, and the ability to support performance, accountability, and long-term growth.

Responsibilities:
- Provide financial leadership to operational and commercial stakeholders by turning business results into clear recommendations that support performance and strategic decisions.
- Direct the monthly close cycle, including recording journal activity, completing account reconciliations, and producing timely financial and operational reports.
- Review and improve accounting processes and control structures tied to procurement, production activity, inventory management, and cost accumulation.
- Develop and maintain product costing models, standard cost structures, and variance analysis that inform margin, pricing, and profitability evaluations.
- Partner in annual budgeting, forecasting, and longer-range planning by analyzing trends, tracking results, and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate audit preparation, compile supporting documentation, and help ensure compliance with tax obligations and other financial reporting requirements.
- Track operational and financial metrics, participate in inventory oversight activities, and promote adherence to company policies and control expectations.
- Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and improvement-focused environment.
- Support special analyses, ad hoc reporting requests, and cross-functional projects that contribute to business improvement initiatives.
