Dental Assistant, EFDA

Atlanta Gentle Dental seeks a dedicated and skilled Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team. This role is crucial in assisting our dentists during procedures and ensuring that our patients receive the highest standard of care in our state-of-the-art facility. The ideal candidate will be proficient in preparing and maintaining dental instruments, materials, and equipment, and in assisting with dental procedures directly under the supervision of a dentist.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists in various dental procedures directly under their supervision
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment
• Take dental x-rays and process x-ray film as directed by a dentist
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
• Manage dental procedure supply inventory
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the dental office
