About the Position
Join Our Esteemed Healthcare Team as a Pediatric Hospitalist – Make a Difference in Children's Lives
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Pediatric Hospitalists to provide essential inpatient care in a dynamic hospital setting. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of newborn patients and support our healthcare team during critical times. Required Skills:
Active Oregon medical license and DEA certification
Board Certified in Pediatrics or Board Eligible within 5 years
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
Proven experience in neonatal or pediatric inpatient care
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to respond promptly within 20-30 minutes of facility
Nice to Have
Skills:
Prior experience in Level 1 neonatal units
Familiarity with hospital on-call workflows and emergency response
Additional certifications in neonatal resuscitation or pediatric emergency procedures
Experience working in a hospital with similar protocols and systems
Preferred
Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of residency in Pediatrics
Prior hospitalist or neonatal care experience preferred but not mandatory
Other Requirements:
Must secure hospital privileges; privileging process may take 90-120 days; timely provider application submission is essential
Scheduled start date:
June 1, 2026
Weeklong call coverage of 24-hour shifts, with approximately three hours of in-person rounding daily during admissions
Coverage includes newborn rounding, emergency calls within Level 1 unit, without on-site presence required (beeper call)
Candidates should reside within 20-30 minutes of the facility for rapid response
